+ Mnemosyne Version 2 Layout

Version Two
Name: Ethereal Visions
23rd September 2006
I’ve been wanting to do a new layout for ages, but inspiration and the ‘right’ header image has never struck me, until now that is. I also find it ironic how I’ve managed this layout on the 22nd and 23rd of the month, when my first layout was created on the same date in January too XD There’s really nothing much- I’ve finally got an image with some blue in it though, which is what I’ve always wanted :D Still created with iFrames, but this time I finally managed to get the hang of making the frame transparent with some help :3

Didn’t take me long to churn out this layout and I’m satisfied with the results- it’s simple, but it has the effect that I like :3 The header image is of Urd from the anime Ah! My Goddess from Anime Wallpapers, but yeah… I know she’s not very visible, because I also flipped the image around XD Fonts for the header image are Diploma, a default font, and Hold Your Breath from 1001 Fonts. No quotes this time-mainly because I couldn’t think of any, and there would be no space for it XD

+ Mnemosyne Version 1 Layout

Version One
Name: Melancholic Allegory
23rd January 2006
Finally decided to bring my journal back up to life after a long, long hiatus :3 Inspiration just struck me, and along with support, inspiration and ideas (And quite some nudging I think!)- my journal is now back up and running. Hopefully I’ll be more committed to it again this time like I used to be, but then again I myself also really missed writing in my journal XD

Anyway, a simple, minimalistic layout. I really liked and missed this old layout of mine- but didn’t want the same DIV/ CSS aspects in the former version. I’ve also taken a liking to iFrames, but since my newer layouts weren’t compatible with Firefox, I’ve decided to merge those two elements together, and here is the result. I must admit, I’m pretty much happy with it :D It didn’t take me too long, and thoroughly it was quite easy and results satisfactory :3

Both header and splash images were created solely using Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The header image features some character from some anime/ game and I found it from Anime Visions, and the fonts used on it are Alanis Hand and Redensek, both from 1001 Fonts. No brushes are used on this header image this time. The quote on it was a spur of the moment thing, and the version name (Melancholic Allegory) is just a ‘remix’ of the name for the old, almost-similiar layout this was derived from (Melancholic Rhapsody) <3 Both names were, of course, invoked by the image itself, which source is pretty much unknown, sadly.
